A classic from the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory: the LOTOS fish platter combines the timeless design by architect Wolfgang von Wersin with a delicate decoration created by Ted Muehling.
Wolfgang von Wersin, known for his ‘New Objectivity’ style, designed the LOTOS tableware range in the early 1930s. It is characterised by clear, elegant forms and gently curved lines reminiscent of open blossoms. The simple design lends the delicate, thin-walled porcelain a particular lightness.
Against the celadon-coloured background, a delicate world of hand-painted insects unfolds. Ted Muehling’s richly detailed decoration adds a subtle, nature-inspired touch and makes every fish platter a unique piece.
Originally designed for serving fish, this generously sized platter is equally suitable for other dishes and can be used in a variety of ways on a stylishly laid table.
